Georgia rules checked before launch
FTC guidance, CAN-SPAM and the TCPA apply as they do in every state. The Georgia Fair Business Practices Act covers deceptive advertising, pricing and promotional claims and is enforced by the Attorney General's Consumer Protection Division. Residential and general contractors, along with trades such as electrical, plumbing and HVAC, are licensed at state level, and their advertising reflects that accurately. Lawyer advertising follows State Bar of Georgia rules. Georgia's price gouging rules during a declared state of emergency are also checked for home services clients who advertise after storms.
