AI for Ecommerce: Chatbots, Store Automation and Shopify AI
We set up AI that answers order, returns and product questions from your own catalog and policies, follows up abandoned carts and finished orders, and drafts product copy for your team to approve. Built on Shopify, WooCommerce and the tools you already use by the BX team in Manila, for online stores in the US, UK, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Singapore and the Philippines.
Who this is for
- Shopify and WooCommerce stores that answer the same order status, shipping and returns questions every day
- Brands selling through Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp that get more DMs than staff can answer quickly
- Stores with large catalogs where shoppers ask about sizes, materials, compatibility and stock
- Teams already on Klaviyo, Gorgias or Shopify Inbox that want the tools set up properly and connected
- Growing stores adding new products faster than the team can write descriptions
Problems we solve
- ✕Support inboxes fill with "where is my order" messages that a lookup could answer
- ✕DMs from ads and posts wait unread at night and on weekends
- ✕Shoppers leave product pages with a sizing or compatibility question nobody answered
- ✕Carts are abandoned and nothing follows up, or the follow-up is a single generic email
- ✕Review requests and post-purchase messages depend on someone remembering to send them
- ✕New products wait in drafts because descriptions and SEO fields are not written yet
What is included
Order status and returns chatbot
The bot checks an order by order number and email, gives the current status and tracking link, and explains your returns and exchange policy. Return requests are logged with the reason and passed to your team or your returns app. Before: staff look up each order by hand. After: routine status questions are answered in the chat and only exceptions reach a person.
Product Q&A trained on your catalog
We connect the bot to your product data, size charts, care guides and policies so it answers from your own content, recommends products in your range and links to the right page. When the answer is not in your content, it says so and offers a person. We also check whether Shopify Inbox, which Shopify lists as a free app that connects to your catalog, inventory and policies, covers what you need before building anything custom.
Customer service on WhatsApp, Messenger and Instagram
One knowledge base answers shoppers on your website, Facebook Messenger, Instagram DMs and the WhatsApp Business Platform, with the same answers on every channel and a shared inbox where staff can take over any conversation.
Abandoned cart and checkout flows
We build or tidy up cart and checkout recovery in Klaviyo, Shopify Email or your email and SMS tool. Klaviyo's own guidance recommends separate flows for Added to Cart and Started Checkout, and we set both where your store sends those events, with product images, a clear return-to-cart link and exit rules once the order is placed.
Post-purchase and review request flows
Order confirmation follow-ups, delivery check-ins, how-to-use messages, replenishment reminders and review requests timed to delivery. Replies that mention a problem are routed to a person before the customer is asked for a review.
Product description and SEO field drafts
An AI step drafts product descriptions, titles, meta descriptions and image alt text from your specs and brand voice, then queues them for your team to edit and approve. Shopify's Sidekick assistant, which Shopify says is included with your plan, can also write product copy, and we set up a review process whichever tool drafts it.
Helpdesk setup and AI agent configuration
If you use or are choosing a helpdesk such as Gorgias, we set up the store connection, macros, rules and AI agent guidance and test them against your real tickets. Gorgias lists Shopify, BigCommerce, Magento and WooCommerce among its integrations.
Guardrails, testing and handover
The bot does not invent discounts, promise delivery dates outside your policy or collect card details. We test with real customer questions, including Tagalog and Taglish phrasing for Philippine stores, and hand over a document covering logins, content updates and how handoff works.
What you get from it
Fewer repeat tickets for your team
Order status, shipping and returns questions are answered from live store data, so staff spend their time on exceptions, complaints and wholesale inquiries.
Answers while shoppers are still deciding
Product questions on the website and in DMs get a reply at any hour, with a link to the right product page instead of a wait until the next morning.
Follow-up that runs on every order
Cart recovery, post-purchase and review flows run for every customer who qualifies, not only when someone has time to send them.
Built by a team that also runs your ads and SEO
BX runs Meta, Google Shopping and ecommerce SEO for online stores, so chat and email flows are tied to the campaigns and product pages that send the traffic.
How we work
Store and inbox review
We read your recent tickets, DMs and chat logs, list the questions that come up most, and check your store platform, apps and email tool to see what is already in place.
Plan and quote
We agree which channels, flows and AI steps to build, which existing apps to use, and the cases that always go to a person, then confirm a fixed setup quote.
Build and connect
We build in accounts you own, connect your store, helpdesk, email tool and CRM, and load your catalog, policies and FAQs.
Test with real questions
We test with real customer questions, order lookups, return requests and attempts to push the bot off topic, and check every flow with test orders.
Launch and review
After launch we read transcripts, add missing answers and check flow performance. On a care plan this review continues every month.

Frequently asked questions
What can AI do for an ecommerce store?
The most useful jobs are answering order status, shipping and returns questions, answering product questions from your catalog, following up abandoned carts and finished orders, asking for reviews and drafting product descriptions for your team to approve. We start with the questions and tasks that take your team the most time.
How much does an ecommerce chatbot cost?
A website chatbot trained on your catalog and policies starts from USD 790 setup and a care plan from USD 190 per month. A multi-channel bot across your website, WhatsApp, Messenger and Instagram starts from USD 1,490 setup and USD 290 per month. Apps, AI usage and Meta's WhatsApp message fees are paid by you directly or passed through at cost. Philippine clients are quoted in PHP plus 12% VAT.
Do I need a custom chatbot if I use Shopify?
Not always. Shopify Inbox is listed as a free app that connects to your catalog, inventory and policies, and Shopify says Sidekick is included with your plan. If those cover your questions and channels, we can set them up and connect them to the rest of your stack. A custom build makes sense when you need WhatsApp, Messenger and Instagram on one knowledge base, CRM logging or rules your current apps do not support.
Does this work with WooCommerce?
Yes. We connect WooCommerce stores through their order and product data, and the same chatbot, email and review flows apply. Some flows depend on the events your email tool receives from the store, so we check those during the review. If you are still budgeting the store itself, our guide to ecommerce website price in the Philippines lists typical build costs.
Can the chatbot look up a customer's order?
Yes, when it is connected to your store or helpdesk. The customer gives an order number and the email or phone used at checkout, and the bot returns the status and tracking link. It does not show order details without that check.
Will AI write all our product descriptions?
AI drafts them from your specs, photos and brand voice, and your team approves each one before it is published. This keeps facts such as sizes, materials and claims accurate, which matters for both shoppers and search.
Can it reply in Tagalog or Taglish?
Yes. Current AI models handle English, Tagalog and Taglish, and we include those phrasings in testing for Philippine stores, along with any other language your customers use.
Who owns the bot, the flows and the customer data?
You do. Everything is built in accounts in your name, and transcripts, contacts and orders stay in your store, helpdesk and CRM. The handover document explains how to update answers and flows yourself.
